Eric Brown

Research Fellow

Eric Brown is a fellow at Hudson Institute, where he is associated with the Center on Islam as well as the Center for Future Security Strategies.

Since joining Hudson in 2004, Brown has worked on numerous research and analytical projects on Islamic and Asian affairs.

Brown is also co-editor of the journal Current Trends in Islamist Ideology.

His current research focus is on Sino-Islamic relations and the future of Asia.

He has conducted fieldwork throughout Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. 

He is a graduate with highest honors of Marlboro College (philosophy and history) and of St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he studied the classical thought of India, China and Japan.
